A Touch of Theatre in Truro

We will be seeing out 2019 with a great selection of theatrical acts here at The Old Bakery.

We have all kinds of show: historical, hysterical, mysterious, scary and, above all, entertaining.

The Full Brontë

The Full Brontë

On 12th September we have The Full Brontë by the wonderful Scary Little Girls. In this breathtaking romp the SLGs take a sideways look at the literary landmarks of the famous sisters. Highly recommended - get your tickets here.

Jeremiah

Jeremiah

On 18th October we delve again into history, with Jeremiah by Jack Dean, a history of the Luddite revolt re-told with rap and music. This fresh look at one of the turning points in British history is a real eye-opener. You can get tickets here.

Shivers and Shadows

Shivers and Shadows

Leading up to Halloween, we have some great family entertainment from Squashbox Theatre, with Shivers and Shadows from 20-22nd October. This show is full of surprises, delights, laughter and frights - so not for scaredy-cats of any age. Tickets here.

For the Christmas season we have two very different takes on yuletide entertainment.

Christmas. Time.

Christmas. Time.

Firstly, on 13th December there’s an unconventional take on the Christmas story from Near Ta Theatre. Their show, Christmas. Time. has been a great success in previous years with its unusual setting inside a prison on Christmas Day. See what all the fuss was about with tickets here.

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol

Finally, we have a more traditional Christmas story on 21st December with David Mynne’s ever popular one-man performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Now with extra humbug! A treat for the whole family with tickets available here.

We look forward to seeing you here for some great entertainment.
