Comedy Cupboard - cabaret seating, live music, 150 seated, well stocked bar. Spend another evening with us and our resident host MC Claire Rowley, and meet kooky comedian Harriet Dyer and the astounding Phil Reid. Join us for another helping of some of the best stand up talent around!
HEADLINING - HARRIET DYER
Originally from Truro, Headlining - Harriet Dyer - Dyergnosis Murder
Harriet Dyer (BBC Live at The Fringe, BBC Radio 4 Extra and that idiot that didn't cook her chicken on ITV's Dinner Date) for purposes of this show is Detective Dyer. Expect the ending of lives, a menagerie of tomfoolery and tentacles. So many tentacles.
'Dyer exists in a joyful equilibrium, at the point where self-depreciation and a total embracement of oddness meet in utterly likeable harmony… Beautifully, brilliantly weird… Absolutely worth a watch' - Broadway Baby
SUPPORT - PHIL REID
Always known has the class clown...
Phil has a warm nature and natural stage presence about him, which makes you feel instantly relaxed during his performance. From the boot room in the back of a sports shop to the bright lights of a bingo hall, Phil has experienced and seen things that should never be spoken about, but that isn't going to stop him sharing his stories with you.
Friendly and enthusiastic, his observational style instantly puts audiences at ease, allowing him to regale them with his tales of everyday life. He has also had the previledge supporting the likes of Jason Manford, John Bishop and Keith Harris.
'A natural performer with good stage presence and a likeable personality that audiences warm to'
