SAVE THE DATE!
The Jazz Jam is one year old on 04/08/19 and to celebrate we are having a one day mini Fest with improvisation workshops, an evening romp with Jollity Farm... and of course the Jazz Jam as normal 3pm to 6pm!
The Jazz Jam is free. The other events are ticketed. Tickets can be bought per event, or for the whole festival. Please tick the "interested" button to get updates about this event as they are added...
10am to midday, with Simon Latarche & friends
The workshops are aimed at beginners and will include an introductory session led by Simon, followed by practical singing, percussion and melody workshops in smaller groups with experienced Jazz musicians and singing tutors.
3pm to 6pm
The Jam is led by Simon Latarche and his band and is free, and open to all levels and all ages but under 16's to be accompanied by an adult. Come along and sing/play, or just kick back and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere in this very special room. Perform solo, get up and jam with friends... Just join in - with or without the House Band.
Nancy Finch and Andy Keightley are an acoustic duo from the South West. Featuring classic vocals and guitar in the tradition of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass their set also includes the occasional meander into up-tempo swing, gypsy jazz and jump jive.
7pm to 9pm
Irrepressibly happy jazz from the 1920's, 30's and 40's. Vintage jazz, with bells and whistles on, that's guaranteed to put a spring in your step and a big grin on your face!
OLD BAKERY BAR
Open from midday, for hot drinks, alcoholic or soft drinks.
Last bar orders at 9pm and venue closes at 9.30pm
No parking on site. Please use Garras Wharf car park (TR1 2TN) and walk round.
The workshops and ticketed concerts are likely to be very popular so book early to avoid disappointment.
