Class of 2013 – The Velvet Hands - Huw Stephens Radio One Album of the Week, main support to Avalanche at The Isle of Wight Festival, playing the main stage at this year's Boardmasters Festival. We are running with a new single from the album, already been played on Huw Stephens at Radio 1 and John Kennedy at Radio X in London. It is "everyone is dead". The band's new drummer is current 2nd year Truro College student Louis Mitchell.
Class of 2014 - Sam Richardson & The Renegades - Sam's Roots - Rock and Heartland-Rock inspired songs are reminiscent of the days when imagery and stories played a key role in the song writing process. Sam has had plays on Radio 1 and BBC Introducing, and has supported Newton Faulkner and played many festivals down here in the South West.
Class of 2015 - The Rezner are currently working on new material. They have a fantastic reputation for high octane live performances; Lee Trewhela (Journalist for Cornwall Live & The West Briton) wrote: ''They are so cocksure and charismatic, it's hard to believe they are only 18, think the bordering-on-camp performance power of Tim Burgess and Brett Anderson with the in your face swagger of Ian brown and even Liam Gallagher - Yep, they've definitely got something''.
This clip was shot at The Old Bakery Independent Venue Week gig back in Jan. https://www.facebook.com/TheRezner/videos/20967381...
Class of 2016 - Swine – Describe themselves as "Two angry little sh**s from Cornwall, playing loud shouty music". The band got their first outing at The Old Bakery at Independent Venue Week in January. We were all mightily impressed and are glad to see them back!
Class of 2017 - Clay Allison – Falmouth based Alt Rock 3 piece Clay Allison open the proceedings. These Truro College first years are already making a name for themselves, they come highly recommended by Truro College's Music department.
